Hi, I’m Carolyn, a maker and teacher, passionate about sharing my love of ceramics. Thanks for visiting!

My makes

I use varieties of stoneware, earthenware and porcelain clay, for both hand building and throwing simple beautiful pieces.

Workshops / Groups

Using seasons and holidays as reference points, join me and a group of like-minded people for a relaxed and friendly occasion. Create your own version of the suggested items, with step by step help where you need it, and they will be fired, glazed and fired again for you to collect or have delivered to you locally. I can also arrange for pieces to be posted.

Experiences / Private Classes

Whether you are a total beginner or a regular maker, come and experience my garden studio – try out throwing on one of my wheels or hand building from scratch. All work can be fired and glazed for you to keep or gift. I keep time aside for one to one lessons during weekdays, evenings and at the weekend, so get in touch to book a session. Sessions ideally run for 2.5 hours and cost from £60 for a one to one. Discounts are available if you would like to come with friends/family or for multiple sessions. I’m happy to hold sessions including your children (or parents!).

About Me

Hello, I’m Carolyn!

Previously a lawyer in London, I stayed at home to nurture my young family for several years, and then in 2020 moved closer to my roots in rural Worcestershire. I finally have space for a cosy bright studio and am now a full time potter and teacher. I love sharing my passion for making, and strongly feel that creation feeds one’s soul!
